Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Command, recently undertook a thorough assessment of the operational readiness and administrative functioning of the Vajra Corps during his visit. This evaluation was pivotal in determining the Corps’ preparedness to tackle challenges along India’s western borders, while also examining its contributions to national development initiatives.
The visit included a detailed briefing from Lieutenant General Ajay Chandpuria, the General Officer Commanding of Vajra Corps. During this session, Lt Gen Katiyar was informed about the prevailing security situation in the region and presented with several proactive initiatives aimed at boosting operational effectiveness. Key among these initiatives was a focus on enhancing coordination among various stakeholders and improving border infrastructure.
