Lieutenant General Zubin A Minwalla, who serves as the Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff focusing on Doctrine, Organisation, and Training, recently conducted a visit to the College of Defence Management–Integrated Defence Staff (CDM–IDS). The primary aim of his visit was to assess the institution’s academic framework and the training facilities it offers.
During the tour, Lt Gen Minwalla received an overview of the flagship Higher Defence Management Course (HDMC) and explored a range of new initiatives implemented by CDM–IDS. These initiatives are designed to bolster professional military education for mid- and senior-level officers from the Armed Forces, as well as for participants hailing from allied nations.
Engaging with faculty members and course participants, the General Officer expressed his appreciation for the college’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence. He highlighted the importance of innovation in training methodologies and acknowledged the significant intellectual contributions made by CDM–IDS in the realm of defence management across the tri-services.
The visit underscored the vital role that CDM–IDS plays in cultivating strategic thinking, leadership skills, and collaboration among the upcoming generation of military leaders.
