The awards will be announced in the Indian Gazette in both Hindi and English. The name, personal identification number, and regimental information on Sanads and Medals must be engraved in Hindi, and the name’s Hindi spelling must match the spelling used to announce the awards in the Indian Gazette. The names in the Gazette Notification must be spelled exactly as they appear in the recipients’ official records because it won’t be possible to change or revise the Sanad/Medal in the future.
Please make sure that the names and other details stated in the citations we received from you are spelled exactly correctly in Hindi and English. By 30 August 2022, this Headquarters may be notified of any necessary amendments by the quickest methods. The Ministry of Defence intends to publish the Gazette Notification as soon as awards are announced, thus it is critical that any changes to the recipients’ personal information are affirmatively communicated to this HQ by 30 August 2022. After that date, no report will be deemed necessary, and the Gazette will be published in accordance with the information provided in the citation.
