India’s Light Tank will be the first to be equipped with loitering munitions, which might be very effective weapons against tanks and armored vehicles under Project Zorawar.
Loitering Munitions to be used as Bombs
The Indian Army intends to integrate these bombs as standard non-line-of-sight strike loitering munitions into their Main Battle Tanks, such as the T-90 and Arjun Mk1A, to increase the effectiveness of the Armoured Corps.

Following a careful examination of recent conflicts, such as that in Ukraine, the Indian Army decided that lingering munitions outperform Armed UAVs in taking out Main Battle Tanks. Project Zorawar will thus incorporate these bombs after careful evaluation of new technological breakthroughs and an examination of their efficiency.
Loitering munitions are thought to be extremely effective against tanks and armored vehicles. These weapons have exceptional flight characteristics, advanced airborne guidance and navigation systems, precision strike capabilities, and fully integrated communication links with C4 stations.
