In a significant display of military preparedness, Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command, conducted a comprehensive visit to the Shahbaz Division. The focus of this visit was to assess the formation’s operational capabilities and its readiness to tackle modern warfare challenges.
During his time at the division, Lt Gen Seth was presented with an in-depth briefing regarding the unit’s strategic advancements, particularly in its transition towards becoming a future-ready military force. This transformation is heavily supported by the integration of New Generation Equipment (NGE), which includes a sophisticated drone ecosystem and advanced automation technologies. The discussions emphasized the importance of utilizing artificial intelligence in enhancing the division’s operational effectiveness.
A key aspect of the review was the deployment of loitering munitions, showcasing the division’s commitment to indigenous technological innovations. Particularly noteworthy were mobile unmanned aerial system (UAS) fabrication and repair vehicles, which are crucial for maintaining high-tempo operations in varied combat scenarios.
Lt Gen Seth observed live demonstrations that highlighted the precision delivery of munitions using platforms developed domestically.
