In a recent visit to the forward posts in the Batalik and Kargil sectors, Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, General Officer Commanding of the Fire and Fury Corps, assessed the security landscape and operational readiness of troops stationed in the challenging high-altitude terrains along the Line of Control (LoC).

The Army Commander received detailed briefings on the latest developments within the region, which included updates on operational preparedness measures aimed at countering ongoing security challenges. Discussions also addressed the difficulties faced by troops due to extreme weather and challenging terrain conditions, which are characteristic of these strategically significant areas.
