Lt Gen Pankaj P Rao, Director and Commandant of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), along with his role as Colonel Commandant of the Army Medical Corps (AMC), visited the 60 Para Field Hospital of the Shatrujeet Brigade on 28 October 2025. This visit aimed to evaluate the hospital’s operational readiness and training protocols, essential for both combat medical support and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations.
During his assessment, Lt Gen Rao closely examined the medical infrastructure and cutting-edge equipment available at the field hospital. He focused on the unit’s capabilities for rapid deployment and efficient response in various field conditions. The advanced technology and well-structured protocols in place reflect the unit’s vital role in delivering world-class medical care, even in austere or conflict situations.
The visit served to underscore the significance of the 60 Para Field Hospital in enhancing the Indian Army’s operational resilience. Lt Gen Rao took the opportunity to commend the medical team for their exemplary professionalism and technical excellence.
