Major General G. Srinivas has officially assumed the role of Commandant at the College of Defence Management (CDM) in Secunderabad, following the elevation of Lieutenant General Harsh Chhibber to the position of Director General Information Systems. This change in leadership underscores the strategic importance of the CDM in shaping the future of military management and leadership within the Indian Armed Forces.
Before stepping into this new role, Major General Srinivas was responsible for operational logistics within the Western Command theatre. His key involvement in recent military operations, notably Operation Sindoor, showcased his exceptional skills in logistics management, significantly influencing mission outcomes.
Maj Gen Srinivas has an impressive background as a Gunner Officer and is an alumnus of both the College of Defence Management and the National Defence College. His extensive experience encompasses joint operational planning, defence management, and strategic leadership, aligning perfectly with the CDM’s mission to cultivate the next generation of military leaders.
