In a significant acknowledgment of excellence, Central Command celebrated the achievements of two Corps of Military Police units, honoring them with the prestigious Provost Marshal Banner – Provost Unit of the Year 2025. This accolade highlights their exemplary standards in discipline, operational efficiency, and steadfast commitment to duty, setting a high benchmark for military conduct.
The awards were presented by Major General V S Sekhon, the Provost Marshal, who recognized the exceptional professionalism and performance exhibited by these units in challenging operational settings. The units that received this esteemed honor included the Uttarakhand Sub Area Provost Unit, recognized as a Major Unit, and the Shatrujeet Brigade Provost Unit, acknowledged as a Minor Unit.
The Shatrujeet Brigade Provost Unit, known as the Airborne Marshals, earned particular praise for their agility and relentless diligence. Their ability to operate effectively in complex and high-tempo environments was highlighted, showcasing their exceptional competence in fulfilling demanding operational requirements.
