The hiring process will be divided into three stages.

  1. All candidates who have registered and applied online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in will take a computer-based online common entrance exam in Stage One (CEE).
  2. In Stage Two, shortlisted candidates will be summoned to a recruitment rally at a location determined by the respective Army Recruitment Office (ARO), where they will be subjected to a Physical Fitness Test and a Physical Measurement Test.
  3. Finally, in Stage Three, the selected candidates will be subjected to medical examinations.

The Computer-based Online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) is scheduled to be held at approximately 175 – 180 Examination Centers across India from April 17 to April 30, 2023. Educational videos on ‘How to Register’ and ‘How to Appear’ in the Online Entrance Exam have been made available on the Join Indian Army website, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in, as well as on YouTube.

Fees and Procedure for the Recruitment

The fee for the Online Common Entrance Exam (Online CEE) is Rs 500/- per candidate, with the Indian Army covering 50% of the cost. Candidates must pay Rs 250/- during the online application registration process. They can also provide five options for taking the Online Common Entrance Exam (Online CEE).

The new procedure will emphasize enhanced cognitive aspects during recruitment, resulting in broader and better outreach across the country. It will also reduce large crowds at recruiting rallies and administrative commitments in their conduct, as well as the number of candidates going through medical examinations. The process will become more streamlined, easier to implement, and in line with current technology.
