Mrs. Punita Jain has officially taken on the role of Regional President (RPA) of Southern Star AWWA as of April 1, 2026. In her new position, she is set to enhance the organization’s commitment to supporting the families of soldiers, particularly focusing on the welfare of the military community.
During her initial interactions with the members of Southern Star AWWA, Mrs. Jain emphasized the group’s dedication to various key areas. A primary focus will be the welfare of soldiers’ families, ensuring that those who serve our nation receive the necessary support and guidance. She underscored the importance of providing comprehensive assistance to Veer Naris (widows of soldiers) and Veer Matas (mothers of soldiers), acknowledging their sacrifices and the challenges they face.
In her vision for the organization, Mrs. Jain articulated AWWA’s ongoing mission to strengthen the extended Indian Army family, enhancing connections and fostering a sense of belonging among all members. She expressed her desire to promote care, dignity, and empowerment for women within the community, emphasizing that women’s contributions are vital to the resilience and strength of the military family.
