Over 2,000 Agniveers Inducted into Indian Army at Passing Out Parades in Secunderabad

In a momentous event, over 2,000 newly trained Agniveers were officially inducted into the Indian Army during grand Passing Out Parades at the Army Ordnance Corps (AOC) Centre and the 1 EME Centre in Secunderabad. These ceremonies celebrated the successful culmination of 34 weeks of rigorous military training, drawing large crowds of proud families and relatives who came to witness this significant milestone.

At the AOC Centre, the inductees completed their training, which emphasized critical battlefield support roles. The curriculum included logistics, fieldcraft, physical endurance, weapons handling, and military drills. Major General Rakesh Manocha, the Commandant of the AOC Centre, reviewed the parade, delivering an inspiring address that encouraged the soldiers to embrace the core values of “Duty, Honour, and Courage.” The highlight of the event was the presentation of the GOC-in-C Southern Command rolling trophy to Recruit Manish Kumar, who was recognized as the best recruit of the batch.

Simultaneously, the 1 EME Centre welcomed 1,024 Agniveers from Batch-05/24 into the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, marking their completion of both basic and advanced training. The EME is essential for maintaining and operating advanced military equipment, thus preparing soldiers for high-tech combat environments. Brigadier Prashant Bajpai, the Commandant of the 1 EME Centre, presided over this parade, commending the Agniveers for their discipline, resilience, and the integrity they displayed throughout their training. He urged them to serve the nation with unwavering dedication, upholding the principles of integrity and honour. Agniveer Vishnu Soni was recognized for his exceptional drill performance and appointed as parade commander, while Agniveer Prithvijeet Kumar earned the award for best overall performance.

These events not only highlighted individual achievements but also underscored the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a new generation of soldiers through the Agnipath scheme. This initiative aims to harness youthful energy, enhance technical skills, and foster a strong sense of patriotism among the ranks. The successful induction of these Agniveers marks a significant step in this transformative journey, reinforcing the Army’s dedication to modernizing its forces and preparing for contemporary challenges on the battlefield.
