The Rajput Regiment recently held its 33rd Biennial Conference on Regimental Matters from December 5 to December 7, 2025, at the Rajput Regimental Centre. This significant event commemorated the regiment’s rich legacy of bravery, professionalism, and regimental pride.
The conference gathered an array of dignitaries, veterans, and active-duty officers, including Commanding Officers and Subedar Majors from the regiment. A central focus of the event was the ceremonial handover of Colonelcy, which took place between Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, GOC-in-C Western Command, and Lt Gen H. S. Sahi, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, Commandant of the Army War College.
Conducted with full military decorum, the transition underscored the Rajput Regiment’s enduring values of honor, continuity, and professional excellence. Lt Gen Sahi, assuming his new responsibilities, expressed profound respect for the regiment’s esteemed history and committed to its ongoing development.
In addition to the leadership transition, the biennial conference acted as a crucial platform for assessing regimental affairs, while simultaneously fostering camaraderie among both serving personnel and veterans. The event helped reinforce the strong bonds within the regiment, promoting unity and collaboration as it looks towards the future.
