Rear Admiral Happy Mohan, VSM, has officially taken on the role of Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), marking a significant step in his distinguished career within the Indian Navy. An accomplished alumnus of prominent military institutions, including the National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, Naval War College, and National Defence College, Rear Admiral Mohan is recognized as a specialist in Communication and Electronic Warfare.
With over three decades of dedicated service, Rear Admiral Mohan has an extensive track record in various operational and staff positions. His experience spans critical roles at Naval Headquarters, the Western Fleet, INS Chilka, and the Signal School, showcasing his diverse expertise. Additionally, he has commanded several frontline naval ships, providing him with invaluable operational experience across a wide range of maritime contexts.
Before assuming his new responsibilities at the INA, Rear Admiral Mohan served as the Commanding Officer of INS Circars. In this pivotal role, he managed crucial maritime security and operational responsibilities, furthering his leadership capabilities and operational acumen.
