At the upcoming MILIPOL Paris 2025 exhibition, Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) and MILTON are set to showcase groundbreaking advancements in drone-based radio-frequency (RF) intelligence. Their collaboration has led to the development of two innovative monitoring payloads that aim to enhance the capabilities of drone technology in the realm of electromagnetic surveillance.
The highlight of the exhibition will be the introduction of the MILTON Long-Range Observer (LRO) drone, which is now equipped with the R&S EM200 signal analyzer. This high-tech drone features an omni-directional antenna, enabling it to effectively capture a wide spectrum of RF signals. The system, integrated through the CEPTOR suite, is designed to provide comprehensive wide-area RF surveillance and facilitate long-range detection of various communication signals, including jammers and other electromagnetic emissions.
The implications of this technology are significant, especially for defense and security operations where effective monitoring of communication channels is crucial. By leveraging the capabilities of the EM200 signal analyzer and operating from a drone platform, operators can achieve enhanced situational awareness and detection capabilities over expansive areas.
As the landscape of surveillance and intelligence evolves, R&S and MILTON’s innovations are poised to set new standards in drone-assisted RF intelligence. The collaboration promises to bolster operational effectiveness for military and security forces, affirming the growing importance of advanced technology in modern defense strategies.
