Sentrycs Wins Multi-Million-Dollar Contract for Advanced Counter-Drone Systems in Latin America

Sentrycs has announced a significant multi-million-dollar contract aimed at integrating its counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) technologies for an undisclosed defense customer in Latin America. This initiative will see the Tel Aviv-based company supplying various configurations of its anti-drone kits, including fixed, portable, and vehicle-mounted versions, designed to meet the user’s multi-layered defense requirements against increasingly sophisticated autonomous airborne threats.

The anti-drone systems are slated to be deployed in numerous applications, including providing low-footprint protection for military installations, supporting mobile operations, assisting special forces missions, and ensuring the security of VIPs. Additionally, a portion of the technology will be dedicated to supporting drug interdiction efforts and other crime-related interventions prevalent in the region.

Sentrycs’ advanced cyber radio frequency kits can be operated either individually or in combination, tailored to meet varying mission requirements “without requiring extensive training or particular skills” from personnel on the ground. Each system offers “plug and play” capabilities, facilitating continuous drone monitoring both day and night, even in challenging environments characterized by signal jamming and spoofing.

The C-UAS technology collects critical data which includes the altitude, speed, coordinates, and last known location of monitored drones, enhancing situational awareness for security forces.

The decision by the South American nation to adopt Sentrycs’ anti-drone solutions was significantly influenced by evaluations that prioritized stealth capabilities. During testing phases, Sentrycs’ technologies reportedly “outperformed over a dozen competitors” in scenarios that necessitated minimal detectability during operations. Furthermore, the company’s established presence in the region and positive references from an existing local user, who previously collaborated with Sentrycs, bolstered their winning bid.

Sentrycs Chief Revenue Officer Jason Moore emphasized the urgency of the situation in Latin America, citing “recent events” that have presented heightened defense challenges and a surge in unauthorized drone usage linked to criminal activities. He remarked that this contract marks a substantial milestone, underscoring Sentrycs’ commitment to offering cutting-edge solutions tailored to contemporary drone security challenges. “We are proud to play a pivotal role in enhancing national security for this region and look forward to supporting this air defense strategy with our innovative technologies,” he stated.

In addition to the Latin American contract, Sentrycs previously secured a similar agreement in March 2024 to implement its C-UAS solutions for a European customer. This contract involves deploying their technology across various military bases in Europe, aiming to enhance intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions throughout the region. The company’s expanding portfolio of defense solutions reflects its growing influence in the global security landscape, particularly in countering threats introduced by unmanned aerial systems.
