Following the terror attack on troops in Poonch, Jammu, and Kashmir, which killed five soldiers the day before, the Indian Army launched a huge operation on Friday to track down a group of six to seven terrorists responsible for the incident. The Army and security services have received reports of 6-7 terrorists working in two groups in the Rajouri-Poonch sector, near the scene of yesterday’s event.

According to sources, this group was involved in the ambush of an Indian Army vehicle yesterday in the Poonch region, which killed five soldiers. As a result, the Indian Army has conducted a number of operations to apprehend the terror outfit.
“Multiple special forces teams, as well as drones and surveillance helicopters, have been rushed to the area to assist with search and destroy operations,” according to the sources. The actions are being coordinated by security forces such as the Army, Police, and Intelligence Agencies. According to sources, the terrorists are believed to be members of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and from Pakistan. More information about their route of entry into the area is being gathered. The search is being conducted extensively in the area where there are multiple cave-type natural structures, according to sources. Poonch Terror Attack
Five Indian Army Jawans were killed and one was badly injured after terrorists opened fire and threw grenades at a truck in the Poonch region of the Northern Indian Union Territory of Jammy & Kashmir. The event occurred on Thursday at about 3 p.m. at Bhata Dhurian Falls in the Mendhar sub-division, as the car was traveling from Bhimber Gali to Sangiot.
