The Indian Navy officer Commander Manish K Tyagi also known as Knotty Commander is India’s one of the most successful standup comedians. An Engineer by education and profession, he has served in the Indian Navy for 23 long years. He quit the Indian Navy in May 2012 as a Commander and got into Corporate Training since he wanted to pursue his dream – to train people and share his life experiences. Well, now he is one of the most popular standup comedians doing shows around the world. Recently Commander Manish K Tyagi shared his SSB interview experiences from the past which is not only entertaining but defence aspirants can learn a lot from it. He has cleared AFSB interview and NSB interview for Indian Air Force and Navy respectively. We can inculcate the qualities and suggestions that he has shared in his video. 1. Your answers must be unique and should come from both heart and mind. Do not copy random answers of recommended candidates. For example, in 1 AFSB when the IO asked the Cdr Tyagi about why he wants to join the air force, he replied: “I want to be the in charge of the technically most advanced equipment in the world.” In SSB Bangalore, when the IO asked him, why do you want to join the Indian Navy! He replied, ” In Navy, engineers can sail on the ship and get the chance to be on the front line if war happens, I want to be there if ever action happens”.
2. Never take stress during SSB interview, do not think more either because it might lead to nervousness. Rather be open-minded and enjoy the process. DO NOT TAKE STRESS is what Cdr Tyagi has mentioned prominently in his video.
3. When you walk in, you must carry an aura that attracts others. You must have the OLQs and try to inculcate that in your life. Be happy and have positive vibration, look good, look smart.
4. From Cdr Tayagi’s video, we can comprehend that he has talked more about not taking the stress and trying to be happy in whatever we do in life, he has mentioned that SSB is not the end of the world, clearing or failing in SSB is also not end of the challenges in one’s life, the most important thing is keeping ourselves happy and full of positivity in whatever we do, the success will follow.
