Surg Rear Admiral Dilip Raghavan officially took over as the Command Medical Officer of the Eastern Naval Command on September 19, 2025, marking a significant milestone in his extensive career within the Indian Navy. A graduate of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, Raghavan has dedicated over three decades to the naval medical field since his commissioning on December 26, 1989.

As a distinguished ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) specialist, Raghavan has further honed his expertise through advanced post-doctoral training in Microsurgery and Cochlear Implant Surgery at the prestigious Madras ENT Research Foundation. His impressive qualifications are complemented by a series of pivotal roles in the Indian Navy, including his command of INHS Asvini, a leading naval hospital, and his tenure as Commodore of the Armed Forces Medical Services at DGAFMS. Additionally, he has served as the Professor and Head of the Department of ENT at AFMC Pune, where his contributions significantly advanced medical training and practice.
