Two Russian military aircraft are under scrutiny for an alleged violation of Finnish airspace, according to a statement from Finland’s defense ministry. The incident reportedly occurred off the coast near Porvoo, a city situated approximately 50 kilometers (30 miles) southeast of Helsinki, on Friday afternoon.
Finnish officials have expressed serious concern regarding the potential territorial breach. Defence Minister Antti Hakkanen emphasized the importance of addressing such incidents, stating, “We take the suspected territorial violation seriously and an investigation is ongoing.”
