UAE Defense Manufacturer Introduces Cable Mesh Cloak to Protect Armored Vehicles from Drone Attacks

In a groundbreaking development, a defense manufacturer in the UAE has unveiled an innovative solution to combat the rising threat of drone attacks. The solution, known as Q-Net, is an active anti-drone net designed specifically to shield armored vehicles from explosive strikes launched by low-altitude drones.

TAC Armored Vehicles, the company behind this invention, has focused on enhancing the defensive capabilities of its Jedi armored personnel carrier. The unique design of Q-Net employs a “cable mesh” cloak that not only offers robust protection but also does so without significantly adding to the vehicle’s weight. This lightweight feature is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency while ensuring maximum safety for personnel inside the armored unit.

Visuals shared by the manufacturer highlight the impressive application of Q-Net. The Jedi armored carrier is depicted adorned with fine netted panels that seamlessly fit around its various sections. Additionally, protective rubber boards have been strategically placed to safeguard the vehicle’s wheels, further fortifying its defenses against external threats.

As drone-related warfare and surveillance continue to evolve, innovations like the Q-Net may play a pivotal role for military and defense sectors worldwide, reflecting a proactive approach to emerging aerial threats.
