National Defence Academy NDA is one of the finest Indian Armed Force training academies which provides a respectful and beneficial career to an aspirants. NDA is the Joint Services academy of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, the Army, the Navy and the Air Force train together. Eligible candidate can write NDA entrance exam twice in a year which is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

NDA will be conducted by UPSC next year for the candidates who are interested in getting entrance to Nationa Defence Academy maharashtra with final entrance in Indian army via IMA dehradun or in getting entrance to Indian air force via AFA dundigal or in getting entrance to Indian navy via INA Ezhimala. Below we have mentioned the important dates for NDA Exam 2017 for second Semester.

NDA 2 2017 Exam Notification Date:

  • Date of Notification: 7th June 2017
  • Start of receipt of applications: 7th June 2017
  • Last date for the receipt of applications: 30th June 2017
  • Date of Exam:  10th Sep 2017
  • Expected date of result: Dec/Jan 2017-18

How to fill NDA 2 2017 exam application form:

  1. Log on to upsconline.nic.in
  2. Click on Part – I registration of NDA and NA exam
  3. Fill up the correct credentials in the follow up nda exam application form page and submit
  4. In the follow up page, give course preference on Army, Airforce and Navy and select proceed.
  5. Verify the declaration by clicking on ‘I Agree’.
  6. In part 2 registration, Upload your photograph and signature specimen in NDA registration form.
  7. In the next step, select your examination center.
  8. Take printout of your form.

NDA exam eligibility:

  • Age Limit, Sex and Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidate whose age lies between 16(1/2) to 19(1/2) years at the time of course commencement will fall under the correct category of nda exam eligibility.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • For Army wing of National Defence Academy: 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University candidate’s fall under the correct category of nda exam eligibility.
    • For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy: 12th Class pass or appearing of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University candidate’s fall under the correct category of nda exam eligibility.
  • Nationality: To fall under the correct category of nda exam eligibility, candidate must be either – A citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Srilanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
    • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories in above mentioned paragraph shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
    • Certificate of eligibility will not, however, be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.
  • Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to NDA physical standards for National Defence Academy admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination as per the nda exam eligibility guidelines of

  • Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm
  • Visual Standard for Army – NDA exam eligibility:
    • candidate should be able to read in a distant vision chart 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in worse eye with or without glasses.
    • Myopia should not be more than 2.5 D and hyper-metropia not more than 3.5 D
    • CPIII colour vision for Army
  • Visual Standard for Navy – NDA exam eligibility:
    • Uncorrected without glass – 6/6, 6/9
    • Corrected with glass – 6/6, 6/6
    • Limits of Myopia – -0.75
    • Limits of Hyper-metropia – +1.5
  • Visual Standard for Air force – NDA exam eligibility:
    • Minimum distant vision 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other
    • Colour vision CP – I
    • Retinoscopic Myopia : – 0.5 in any Meridian permitted
