A Valediction Ceremony took place at the esteemed Air Traffic Control Officers Training Establishment (ATCOTE) on September 19, 2025, celebrating the successful completion of two significant courses: the Air Traffic Management & Air Laws (Basic) Course and the Air Traffic Surveillance Services Course.

The ceremony showcased the commendable collaboration among the Indian Armed Forces, with officers from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Indian Coast Guard in attendance. Additionally, representatives from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and participants from Friendly Foreign Countries highlighted ATCOTE’s pivotal role in fostering professional military aviation training.

This event underscored the commitment of the Indian Armed Forces to joint training initiatives and integrated learning in air traffic management. By uniting personnel from various services and international participants, the courses emphasized not only operational aspects of air traffic laws and surveillance but also the necessity for interoperability in contemporary air operations.

Senior dignitaries addressing the assembly stressed the importance of safe, efficient, and integrated airspace management for both civil and military entities. The training received at ATCOTE is strategically designed to provide officers with advanced knowledge, practical skills, and a joint-service perspective, equipping them to navigate the evolving challenges of airspace dynamics.

The participation of officers from allied nations further bolstered diplomatic and defense relations, showcasing India’s dedication to capacity-building and knowledge-sharing efforts. This collaborative training environment not only enhances operational capabilities but also cultivates mutual trust, camaraderie, and professional relationships among participants.

Graduates of the courses are now better equipped to handle critical responsibilities in Air Traffic Control, Airspace Surveillance, and the Management of Joint Operations. Their training ensures seamless coordination between civil and military stakeholders, thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency.

The ceremony concluded with a reaffirmation of ATCOTE’s vision to lead in training excellence, joint operations, and global cooperation, adequately preparing officers for the future demands of air operations.
