In a significant event today, Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 in New Delhi as the Chief Guest, heralding the commencement of one of the National Cadet Corps’ most prestigious annual gatherings.
During his address to the gathered cadets, Radhakrishnan praised the NCC for its unwavering role in nation-building and fostering youth development. He emphasized that the organization’s motto, “Unity and Discipline,” plays a crucial role in shaping confident, responsible, and service-oriented young citizens. These qualities, he noted, are essential as India aims for a progressive vision under the Viksit Bharat 2047 initiative.
The Vice-President also acknowledged the remarkable contributions of NCC cadets in recent operations, particularly their involvement in Operation Sindoor and various disaster relief efforts across the nation. He remarked that the discipline, leadership, and sense of duty exhibited by these cadets during challenging times underscore the strength of the training and principles instilled by the NCC.
Describing the Republic Day Camp as a vibrant representation of India’s unity in diversity, Radhakrishnan highlighted that the gathering brings together cadets from various states and union territories. The camp serves to celebrate constitutional values and promote national integration while also nurturing future leaders dedicated to the ethos of service.
Scheduled activities for the NCC Republic Day Camp 2026 include cultural exchanges, leadership training, national integration programs, and ceremonial events, all culminating in participation in the Republic Day celebrations. This year’s camp reaffirms the NCC’s commitment to cultivating disciplined, socially aware, and patriotic youth, laying a solid foundation for the nation’s future.
