Breaking a 65-year-old glass ceiling, the Supreme Court in August last year dismissed the government’s claim that the ban on women candidates training at the Pune-based NDA was a policy choice while issuing an interim order allowing them to appear for the exam in November. Till now, 3 NDA Examinations have been conducted and so far each examination had 19 vacancies for Women Candidates. In this article, let us see how many Women Candidates are currently under Training in the NDA.

Women Candidates Currently Under Training in NDA

Recruitment of Women Candidates in the National Defence Academy commenced in the year 2022 (NDA-148 course, July 2022 induction). Year-wise recruitment is as follows:

NDA 1 2024 Notification, Exam Date, Vacancies, Eligibility

According to the Union Public Service Commission schedule, the Notification for the National Defence Academy Examination (I) 2024 will be released on December 20, 2023. The National Defence Academy Exam takes place twice a year. The Union Public Service Commission administers the national-level exam NDA.

NDA 1 2024 Notification:

As per the Union Public Service Commission calendar, the notification for the NDA 1 2024 will be released on 20th December 2023.

NDA 1 2024 Age Eligibility & Date Of Birth

Both Male and Female candidates born not earlier than 02nd July 2005 and not later than 1st July 2008 are eligible.

NDA 1 2024 Exam Date:

NDA 1 2024 written exam will be conducted on 21 April 2024 (SUNDAY).

NDA 1 2024 Application Fee:

General and OBC candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/-. Women, SC, and ST candidates are exempted from fee payment.

Prepare for the NDA Exam 2024:

NDA 1 2024 Applications:

Once the application process begins, candidates can visit the official UPSC website and click on “NDA Applications”. Women Candidates are then required to fill out the form with the correct details, pay the application fees and submit the form. It is advisable to have all relevant documents scanned and ready beforehand in order to apply for the exam as and when the applications start.

NDA 1 2024 Admit Card:

The admit card to the exam will be released approximately two weeks prior to the exam on the official website. Women Candidates are required to download and print the admit card and check their details thoroughly. If there is any mistake one can inform the authorities via email. Do not forget to carry the admit card on the day of the exam.

Army Wing	12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University
