National Digital Health Mission

  • Independence Day Speech: National Digital Health Mission is “completely technology-based” initiative that will revolutionise the health sector
  • Every Indian would get an ID card that would contain all relevant information about his/her medical conditions.
  • This card could be used to access health services and medicines.
  • The NDHM, which comes under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY), is expected to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and transparency of health services in the country, the government has said.
  • Under the scheme each patient will be given an ID card on which confidential medical data, such as prescriptions, diagnostic reports and discharge summaries, will be stored.

Revolution In Infrastructure

  • Govt. identifies 7,000 projects from different sectors to bring new revolution in infrastructure.
  • He said, the country must not only go ahead with the mantra of Make in India but Make for World as well.
  • National Infrastructure Pipeline Project will enable this, and the country is moving towards spending more than Rs. 100 lakh crore on this.
  • The National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP) is a group of social and economic infrastructure projects in India over a period of five years with a sanctioned amount of ₹102 lakh crore.

  • All infrastructure must be comprehensive, integrated and linked to each other.
  • Multi-modal connectivity infrastructure is the way forward.

Agricultural Sector Boost

  • There was a time we imported grains; but today our farmers are producing enough not just for India but also for those in need across the world.
  • Our farm sector needs to evolve in line with requirements of world.

National Education Policy
