The 3 UP Naval Unit NCC in Lucknow celebrated Navy Day 2025 at the scenic Boat Pool, honoring the valour, professionalism, and maritime legacy of the Indian Navy. This occasion marked a special tribute to the Navy’s decisive victory during the 1971 Indo-Pak War, with particular emphasis on the historic Operation Trident, India’s first missile attack at sea.
The event featured distinguished guests, including Commander Sumit Ghosh (Retd.), a decorated Submarine Officer and veteran of Operations Vijay and Parakram, serving as the Chief Guest. Brigadier Puneet Srivastava, Group Commander of NCC Group HQs in Lucknow, and Commander Gaurav Shukla, the Commanding Officer of the 3 UP Naval Unit NCC, were in attendance as Guests of Honour.
A vibrant cultural programme highlighted the enthusiasm and discipline exhibited by the NCC cadets. The performances included impactful speeches, recitations of patriotic poetry, soulful singing, and energetic group and solo dances. Each act served as a tribute to the Indian Navy, demonstrating the cadets’ admiration and commitment to the ideals of courage, dedication, and service.
As the celebrations reached their climax, the air filled with cheers of pride as the cadets reaffirmed their pledge to uphold the values of the nation and the Indian Navy, cementing their commitment to serve with honor and integrity.
