In the wake of a tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, that left 26 civilians dead, the Indian Navy has launched a significant military operation named “Operation Sindoor.” This operation was initiated as a direct response to the April 22 attack, which authorities attribute to Pakistan-sponsored terrorists, signaling India’s intent to reassert its military readiness and strategic capability in the region.
During a recent press conference, Vice Admiral AN Pramod addressed the media, outlining the swift actions undertaken by the Indian Navy following the incident. Within a mere 96 hours of the attack, the Navy mobilized its Carrier Battle Group, surface forces, submarines, and aviation assets stationed in the Northern Arabian Sea. “The operation was aimed at revalidating the crew, armament, equipment, and platform readiness, ensuring that we can deliver ordnance with precision when required,” he stated, highlighting the operational objectives behind the swift mobilization.
