Air Marshal MS Sridhar

Air Marshal MS Sridhar, the Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, paid a visit to the Military Hospital and Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Polyclinics in Mhow, a prominent training center for the Indian Army. His visit, which took place recently, highlighted the significance of the region’s military and medical legacy, as the historical British Military Hospital has been transformed into part of the Army Public School.

During his tour, Air Marshal Sridhar engaged with young Medical Officers and Specialists, sharing insights from his extensive career. He encouraged them to pursue patient care with unwavering dedication, professionalism, and compassion. The ECHS, established in 2003, plays a crucial role in this mission by providing healthcare services through a network of 427 polyclinics across the nation. This initiative leverages service medical facilities, government hospitals, and empaneled private institutions to ensure cashless medical treatment for ex-servicemen and their dependents.

Furthermore, Air Marshal Sridhar took the opportunity to review the medical assets of the hospital, commending the Mhow Healers team for their commitment to maintaining the high standards of the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). His visit included fruitful discussions with the Commandants of prominent Army establishments, such as the Army War College, Infantry School, and the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering. These interactions reinforced the importance of joint operations and steadfast dedication to operational excellence.

Mhow, with a population of 85,023 residents, serves a vital role in the training and preparedness of the Indian Army. The visit underscores the ongoing efforts of the Indian Armed Forces to enhance medical response capabilities in both battlefield and crisis situations, ensuring that personnel receive advanced healthcare support even in high-risk environments.
