COAS Fecilitates a Para Winner

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Upendra Dwivedi, made a notable appearance at the World Para Athletics Championships 2025, taking place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi. His presence at the event highlighted the significance of sports and inclusivity in India, as he took the time to felicitate and present medals to outstanding athletes who showcased exceptional performances.

The World Para Athletics Championships, running from September 27 to October 5, 2025, marks its 12th edition and is recognized as the largest Para sports competition ever hosted in India. The event has attracted over 1,000 athletes from across the globe, competing in a total of 186 medal events, including 101 for men, 84 for women, and one mixed event. This year saw a remarkable increase in participation compared to the previous championships held in Kobe, Japan, emphasizing a growing interest and investment in para athletics.
