The event has attracted over 1,000 athletes from across the globe, competing in a total of 186 medal events, including 101 for men, 84 for women, and one mixed event. This year saw a remarkable increase in participation compared to the previous championships held in Kobe, Japan, emphasizing a growing interest and investment in para athletics.
