The Army Air Defence College (AADC) in Gopalpur has officially launched the second phase of the Tri-Services Joint Air Defence Instructors Course, following its initiation on October 13, 2025. This course represents a significant step towards fostering greater jointness and operational synergy among the Indian Armed Forces, building on the successful completion of the first phase held at the Air Defence College in Memaura.
In this advanced stage of training, participants include 12 officers drawn from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. These officers will engage in rigorous training focused on Army Air Defence (AAD) concepts and employment, along with Control and Reporting (C&R) procedures. The comprehensive curriculum is structured to provide the officers with practical experience in joint air defence operations, which is crucial for ensuring effective coordination across diverse operational contexts.
Officials emphasize that this initiative reflects the Indian Armed Forces’ ongoing commitment to develop a unified and interoperable air defence system. By honing the skills necessary to swiftly respond to various aerial threats, the training aims to enhance the overarching security framework in multi-domain operational scenarios.
