The Combat Leadership Course for Junior Leaders has officially started at the Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) Academy in Dhana. Running from November 10, 2025, this program unites Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) from various Combat and Combat Support Arms of the Indian Army for an intensive six-week training experience.
This course has been meticulously crafted in response to the rapid evolution of battlefields and disruptive technological advancements in warfare. It is tailored to enhance cognitive and technical proficiency, as well as improve decision-making and problem-solving capabilities—qualities that are increasingly essential for effective modern military leadership.
The initiative seeks to empower NCOs, instilling them with the confidence, tactical acumen, and adaptive mindset necessary to navigate complex combat situations. In line with the Academy’s guiding motto, “युद्ध नेतृत्व कौशल वहाम्यहम्,” which translates to “We embody the skill of combat leadership,” this comprehensive training program underscores the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to developing capable and tech-savvy junior leaders. This endeavor aims to ensure that these leaders are prepared to face emerging operational challenges with the professionalism and resolve that today’s dynamic military environment demands.
As participants immerse themselves in this rigorous training, the focus remains on developing a new generation of leaders capable of meeting the increasing complexities of modern warfare.
