The Officers Training College at the AMC Centre & College recently held a Ceremonial Parade to commemorate the successful completion of training for the 254th batch of Medical Officers and Dental Officers, with a total of 123 new officers commissioned, including 34 women.
During the event, the parade was reviewed by Major General K J Singh, the Officiating Commandant of the AMC Centre & College. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the newly commissioned officers, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards of military professionalism, compassion, and a strong service ethos as they prepare to integrate into various units of the Armed Forces.
The parade itself was a vivid display of the discipline, endurance, and clinical skills that these officers cultivated during their demanding training program. This rigorous preparation is designed to equip them to provide medical care in a variety of challenging operational environments.
Captain Sandrima Ashok stood out as the most notable performer of the course, earning both the Best Officer in Field Events and the Best All-Round Officer awards. Her remarkable achievements encompassed excellence in academics, physical training, leadership, and military conduct, showcasing her comprehensive abilities.
The passing-out of this batch marks a significant enhancement to the Armed Forces Medical Services, highlighting the military’s commitment to expanding its cadre of well-trained medical and dental officers. These officers are now prepared to serve in both peacetime and operational deployments, ready to address the medical needs of personnel across various situations.
