In a heartwarming event, National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets were warmly welcomed at the official residence of the Chief of the Army Staff during the traditional ‘At Home’ gathering. The occasion was marked by a spirited atmosphere, making it a memorable and inspiring experience for the young cadets.
The cadets reveled in the generous hospitality, which provided them a rare opportunity to engage with the rich traditions of the Indian Army in a relaxed and informal setting. The event fostered direct interactions between the cadets and senior military leaders, deepening their sense of pride and belonging to the national service.
General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of the Army Staff, along with other senior officers, took the time to engage with the cadets, imparting motivation and encouragement to strive for excellence, uphold discipline, and dedicate themselves to serving the nation.
In a highlight of the event, the cadets were also introduced to esteemed sportspersons who have excelled while serving in the army. Among them were Hokato Hotozhe Sema, a Subedar and Paralympic shot put athlete; Subedar B Dheeraj, an accomplished archer; Naib Subedar Jaismine Lamboria, a boxing champion; and Sanjay Kumar, a Param Vir Chakra awardee and Honorary Captain. Their presence underscored the Army’s commitment to excellence in both military and sports, serving as a powerful source of inspiration for the cadets.
The interactions were filled with enlightening exchanges, creating cherished memories for the cadets. They expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to engage with such esteemed role models, emphasizing the importance of leadership, discipline, and selfless service.
