The Indian Army made a significant impact at the India AI Summit by showcasing an impressive range of indigenous artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. This display illustrates the Army’s transition into a data-centric, AI-enabled institution, aligning with Indiaโ€™s broader vision of technological self-reliance and enhancing secure digital capabilities.

During the summit, the Army introduced various AI platforms that exhibit substantial dual-use potential, serving both defense operations and civilian sectors. These advancements signal a pivotal move towards integrating cutting-edge technologies aimed at improving operational effectiveness, governance, and national resilience.

Among the highlighted solutions was AI Examiner, an automated system designed for evaluations and feedback in educational and training environments. Additionally, SAM-UN was presented as a geospatial, AI-driven situational awareness platform, which facilitates mission planning, disaster response, and enhances smart command centers. The Army also emphasized EKAM (AI-as-a-Service), a secure, air-gapped indigenous AI cloud service that ensures data sovereignty and safe processing.

Other noteworthy innovations included PRAKSHEPAN, an AI-driven system focused on climatology and disaster prediction, providing early warnings for natural disasters such as floods, landslides, and avalanches. XFace, an AI-based facial recognition tool, was showcased for its applications in security and identity verification. Furthermore, Nabh Drishti emerged as a mobile telemetry-based platform for real-time reporting and visualization of data.

The Armyโ€™s portfolio of solutions also featured Driver Fatigue Detection technology, an AI-in-a-Box application for edge deployments, AI-enabled Vehicle Tracking Systems, and tools for Deepfake Detection and AI Cyber Security. These advancements highlight the Army’s commitment to enhancing safety, optimizing logistics, and safeguarding critical digital infrastructure.

Taken together, these initiatives reflect the Indian Armyโ€™s dedication to establishing a secure, interconnected, and AI-empowered ecosystem.
