Lieutenant General Prasanna Kishore Mishra, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps, recently conducted an operational visit to the Balnoi Sector. The objective of this visit was to assess the counter-infiltration measures and the overall preparedness of troops stationed along the Line of Control (LoC).
During his time in the Balnoi Sector, Lt Gen Mishra received an in-depth briefing on various aspects, including surveillance strategies, troop deployments, and readiness levels aimed at thwarting infiltration attempts in this sensitive region. Engaging directly with the soldiers stationed at forward posts, he expressed his commendation for their high state of readiness, professionalism, and unwavering vigilance, particularly given the challenging operational environment.
Following this assessment, the GOC, accompanied by the GOC of the Crossed Swords Division, proceeded to the forward areas of the Sunderbani Sector. This visit occurred in the wake of a successful operation that had previously foiled an infiltration attempt. The discussions during this part of the visit centered on consolidating operational gains, bolstering the counter-terrorism grid, and ensuring sustained operational dominance in the region.
Lt Gen Mishra took the opportunity to commend the troops for their steadfastness, resilience, and alertness along the LoC. He emphasized the importance of maintaining relentless vigilance and continuously refining operational practices to effectively counter any emerging threats. By reaffirming the commitment of the White Knight Corps to securing the Line of Control, the GOC underscored the vital role these troops play in safeguarding national security in such a strategically critical area.
