Shri D Mahesh Babu has officially assumed the role of General Manager at the Naval Armament Depot Goa (NAD Goa), succeeding Shri Bhupendra Sharma. Shri Mahesh Babu, an officer of the 2009 batch of the Indian Naval Armament Service, has been associated with the Naval Armament Organisation since October 28, 2009.
Graduating from Anna University in Chennai, he has amassed a wealth of experience by serving in various key capacities at several Naval Armament Depots, including NAD Visakhapatnam, NAD Karwar, NAD Arakkonam, and NAD Trombay, culminating in his latest appointment at NAD Goa.
Shri Mahesh Babu holds specialized training from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) regarding the Mark 54 torpedo in the United States. His expertise has significantly advanced the operational readiness and development of the Naval Armament Organisation. Noteworthy among his contributions is his pivotal role in laying the groundwork for NAD Arakkonam, where he transformed the depot from its inception into a fully operational facility that plays a crucial part in supporting naval logistic operations.
With his comprehensive technical knowledge, operational experience, and proven leadership skills, Shri Mahesh Babu is anticipated to enhance both operational excellence and mission readiness at NAD Goa. His appointment underscores the Indian Navy’s ongoing commitment to fortifying logistics infrastructure and armament support capabilities throughout its operational framework.
