Major General Mandeep Saini has officially taken charge as the Additional Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services (Education & Services) at the Office of the Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), a position he assumed on July 1, 2026.
An alumnus of the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, Major General Saini is recognized nationally for his expertise as a Radiologist. His appointment comes on the heels of a successful tenure as Brigadier (Administration) at AFMC Pune, where he garnered a reputation for effective leadership and administrative prowess.
With over three decades of distinguished military service, Major General Saini has held significant clinical and administrative positions within the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS). Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional professional competence, visionary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to enhancing military healthcare.
In his new capacity, Major General Saini is set to play a crucial role in advancing medical education and enhancing healthcare administration and operational medical support within the Armed Forces.
