In today’s NDA/CDS 2 2026 Chemistry live class, we focused on one of the most scoring sections of the syllabus by solving important Previous Year Questions (PYQs) from Polymers and Carbon. Since these topics are frequently tested in the examination, our objective was not only to revise the concepts but also to understand the pattern of questions asked over the years. Students were guided to identify recurring themes and learn the most effective approach to solving questions accurately within a limited time.
The session began with a quick conceptual revision of Polymers, covering natural and synthetic polymers, addition and condensation polymerization, important examples, properties, and common applications. After revising the fundamentals, we solved a series of carefully selected PYQs to understand how UPSC frames questions. Special emphasis was given to eliminating incorrect options, identifying keywords, and avoiding common mistakes that candidates often make during the examination.
The second part of the class was dedicated to Carbon and its compounds. We revised the allotropes of carbon, basic properties, important compounds, uses, and frequently asked factual points. Previous Year Questions were discussed in detail, with explanations for every option so that students could strengthen both their conceptual understanding and factual recall. Short tricks and memory techniques were also shared to help students retain important information for the exam.
Throughout the class, students were encouraged to analyze the examiner’s perspective instead of simply memorizing answers. The discussion highlighted the importance of repeated PYQ practice, concept-based preparation, and regular revision to maximize scores in Chemistry. The session also emphasized effective time management and smart question-solving strategies that can significantly improve performance in the NDA/CDS examination.
In conclusion, today’s live class provided a comprehensive revision of Polymers and Carbon through important PYQs, helping students build confidence and exam-oriented preparation. Candidates are advised to revise today’s notes, reattempt all the discussed questions without referring to solutions, and continue practicing PYQs from other Chemistry topics. Consistent revision and regular PYQ practice remain the most effective strategy for securing high marks in the NDA/CDS 2 2026 Chemistry examination.
