Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, AVSM, VSM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, conducted a significant visit to Headquarters Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa Area to evaluate the formation’s operational readiness and its capacity to undertake a diverse range of mission-critical tasks. During the visit, the Army Commander undertook a comprehensive examination of various key operational elements, including logistics sustainability, infrastructure development, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) readiness, as well as initiatives aimed at enhancing the welfare of veterans. Discussions during this review were centered on bolstering the formation’s capability to respond effectively to both conventional military operations and emergency situations, while ensuring sustained support for both serving personnel and ex-servicemen.
