Mhow, Madhya Pradesh: The Infantry School in Mhow celebrated a significant achievement with the successful conclusion of the Indian Army’s inaugural Advanced Drone Pilot Training Course for Infantry Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) on July 25, 2026. This course marks a pivotal step in the Army’s commitment to enhancing battlefield capabilities through the incorporation of unmanned aerial systems.
The specially designed curriculum provided selected Infantry NCOs with advanced technical knowledge and tactical expertise essential for military drone operations. Trainees acquired the skills necessary to independently plan, execute, and integrate drone missions within modern combat scenarios, thereby boosting operational effectiveness and situational awareness.

The valedictory ceremony was led by Brig MI Khan, VSM, Commander of the Weapons and Trials Wing, who commended the participants for their successful completion of the rigorous program. In his address, he emphasized the increasing significance of drone technology in today’s military landscape.
Outstanding performers were recognized during the ceremony, with Naik Shubham Pathania of the Jammu and Kashmir Rifles (JAK RIF) being awarded the title of Best Student. His performance in both technical and tactical drone operations was highlighted as exemplary.
