Manipur DGP Mukesh Singh joined personnel of the 2nd India Reserve Battalion (IRB) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) for Diwali at Naranseina in Bishnupur district on November 8, 2026. The gathering highlighted unity and camaraderie among security personnel.
At the 2nd IRB headquarters, Singh was accompanied by the Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order/Armed Police) and the Deputy Inspector General of Police (Armed Police-I). Battalion personnel accorded him a ceremonial Guard of Honour on arrival.
Diwali meal with personnel
A traditional Bada Khana was organised for the 2nd IRB and CRPF personnel stationed at the battalion. Singh and the accompanying senior officers served food to the jawans and joined them for the meal.

The gathering gave senior police officers an opportunity to meet personnel serving on the ground and share the festive occasion with those carrying out their duties.
New gymnasium inaugurated
During the visit, Singh inaugurated a unit gymnasium at the battalion. The facility adds to the recreational and physical fitness amenities available to personnel and is expected to support their fitness and well-being.
The celebration recognised the service of IRB and CRPF personnel who remain on duty away from their families during the festive season. Manipur Police leadership’s participation also conveyed its appreciation for their commitment, discipline and work to maintain peace and security in the state.
