Brave Soldier from Rajasthan Martyred in Jammu and Kashmir

A soldier from Rajasthan, Bhanwarlal Saran, was martyred late Sunday night while on duty in Gulmarg, Jammu and Kashmir, leaving his village and family in profound grief. Bhanwarlal, who hailed from Loonasar village in the Sardarshahar tehsil of Churu district, dedicated his life to serving the nation, a commitment that ultimately cost him his life.

The news of his passing was communicated to his wife, Taramani, on Monday morning by fellow soldier Pushpendra Meel at 9 AM. The revelation sent shockwaves through the village, where silence and sorrow quickly enveloped the community. According to Bhanwarlal’s village head, Bhanwarlal Pander, the soldier had joined the Indian Army in 2015 and was cherished for his friendly demeanor and disciplined nature. Remarkably, he had returned to his home just three months earlier.

As the sole breadwinner for his family, Bhanwarlal’s loss has left a significant void. He married Taramani from Malsar village on May 1, 2014, and together they have a young daughter named Ritika. Being the elder of two brothers, Mukesh, his younger sibling, is currently preparing to enlist in the army. While the family grapples with their traumatic loss, they are also filled with pride for Bhanwarlal’s ultimate sacrifice for the nation.

On Monday evening, Bhanwarlal’s mortal remains were kept in Srinagar and are slated to be flown to Delhi. They are expected to reach Loonasar by 4 PM on Tuesday, where his final rites will be conducted with full state honors in recognition of his commitment to the country.

Bhanwarlal Saran’s courageous sacrifice resonates deeply within Loonasar and the broader Churu district, serving as an enduring source of inspiration for citizens across the nation.
