In a significant stride towards revolutionizing modern warfare, Bharat Supply and Support (BSS) Alliance has unveiled a groundbreaking innovation by integrating an AK-203 assault rifle with a low-altitude, high-agility drone.

BSS Alliance Integrates AK-203 Rifle with Tactical Drone

Game-Changing Drone Innovation

Dubbed a “game-changer” by defence experts, the new drone is engineered for speed, precision, and firepower, making it ideal for tactical battlefield operations. This low-flying drone is specifically designed to deliver high-impact results in counter-insurgency missions and close-quarter urban engagements. The integration of the AK-203 assault rifle enhances the drone’s lethality, offering unprecedented capabilities in mobility and accuracy during critical combat scenarios.

The BSS Alliance announced the innovation on social media platform X, describing it as an evolution in tactical drone warfare and a leap forward in “#Precision, #Mobility, and #Lethality”.

Developed Under ‘Make in India’ Initiative

This state-of-the-art drone weapon system has been developed by BSS Material Limited, a company founded under the Government of India’s flagship programmes – Defence Make in India and Startup India. Led by a team of experienced tech entrepreneurs, defence experts, and integration specialists, BSS aims to create a world-class indigenous defence manufacturing hub, committed to the vision of “Nation First.”

Previous Breakthrough: AI-Powered Autonomous Weapon System

BSS Alliance had earlier demonstrated its technological edge with the successful testing of an AI-enabled autonomous lethal weapon system – the Negev LMG integrated drone – in collaboration with the Indian Army. The test, conducted at a staggering altitude of 14,000 feet, proved crucial for scenarios where deploying human personnel is logistically difficult and risky. The trial not only showcased India’s expanding tech capabilities but also reaffirmed the Indian Army’s preparedness for high-altitude warfare using autonomous systems.

About the Negev NG Light Machine Gun

The IMI Negev NG LMG used in the earlier AI drone project is a formidable weapon in its own right. Weighing approximately 8 kilograms, it features a NATO-standard magazine and an astonishing rate of fire between 850 to 1,050 rounds per minute. With an effective range of 300 to 1,000 metres, the Negev LMG provides overwhelming suppressive firepower and serves as a reliable force multiplier in complex combat situations.

Conclusion

With the successful integration of an AK-203 assault rifle into a tactical drone, BSS Alliance has once again proven India’s capability to lead in next-generation defence technologies. As India continues to innovate in autonomous and AI-powered warfare, such advancements will significantly bolster the country’s strategic defence posture and operational readiness in modern combat theatres.
