Cadet Amit Raj a Class X student of Sainik School Purulia who was in his hometown, Nalanda when a fire broke out in his neighborhood. The braveheart showed exemplary courage and entered the house where 2 kids were stuck facing certain death.
With complete disregard to personal safety and welfare He got both the kids out safely and himself sustained 85% burn in the process.
He was referred to Safdarjung hospital due to worsening situation and finally succumbed to his injuries on 13th December.
The gallant act of Cadet Amit Raj will continue to inspire the generations of cadets to come by.
He will continue to inspire to rise in stature above the age and expectations, etching the name in annals of the history of bravery and selfless actions.

I hope that his soul rests In peace and those kids remember him forever
I am sad for his family as this coming year won’t be a happy new year for them….but all we can do is pray for his relatives…
