# CDS 1 2021 Maths Paper [Full Analysis]

SSBCrackExams will publish the CDS 1 2021 Maths question paper analysis after the exam today. The “Combined Defence Services” (CDS) Examination is conducted twice a year by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the recruitment of candidates into the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

UPSC conducted CDS 2 2020 Exams on 7th February 2021, Sunday. All the main topics of Mathematics paper are given below along with the no. of questions from each topic.

The CDS 1 2021 Mathematics Paper consisted of the total 100 marks with questions from each of the above given main topic. Following is the detailed graphical representation of the CDS 1 2021 Mathematics Paper analysis :

Going through topic wise analysis of questions we can deduce that the algebra topic covered highest count, i.e. 19 questions out of 100 questions that’s approx. 19% of the paper, including most of the questions on Algebraic Expressions & identities and few from Polynomials varying between easy to moderate level of difficulty. This paper has easy to moderate level questions on Number systems, Geometry and Statistics etc. Commenting on Trigonometry, the weightage was good, 13 questions were based on ratios & Identities and 2 questions were on Heights & Distances. Simple & compound Interest, Work & Time, Average, Set theory & Logarithms covered least questions, Paper maintained usual trend of 1-2 question each on them.

Commenting on Mensuration topic, there came 19 questions out of 100, the surface areas and Volumes based there were maximum questions comparing to Areas and Perimeters of Plane figures. It has maintained equal number of questions on SDT & Ratio and Proportions & Profit & Loss, level of these questions was easy to Moderate. There were 10 questions from statistics covering most of data based and Mean, Median concepts.

In particular, after analyzing this paper, we can conclude that CDS is expecting more knowledge about Mensuration, Trigonometry, Algebraic operations, Statistics & Geometry.
