CDS 1 2024 OTA Final Merit List Published

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final merit list for the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2024 for the Officer Training Academy (OTA). A total of 590 candidates (470 Men and 120 Women) have been recommended for admission to:

1. 121st Short Service Commission Course (Men) (Non-Technical) (UPSC).
2. 35th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) (UPSC).

These courses will commence in April 2025 at the Officer Training Academy, Chennai.

Breakdown of Vacancies

As per the official notification, the number of vacancies for these courses are:

• 275 vacancies for the 121st Short Service Commission Course (Men).
• 18 vacancies for the 35th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course.

Merit List Details

The merit list includes candidates who qualified based on the written examination conducted by UPSC and subsequent SSB interviews conducted by the Ministry of Defence. It is important to note:

• Medical examination results have not been considered while preparing the merit list.
• Provisional status: Verification of the candidates’ Date of Birth and Educational Qualification will be carried out by the Army Headquarters.

The list for the 121st Short Service Commission (Men) Course also includes some candidates previously recommended for the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala; and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad.

Important Notes for Candidates

1. Access to Results: The merit list and other details are available on the official UPSC website: www.upsc.gov.in. Marks of candidates will be published on the website within 15 days of the result declaration and will remain available for 30 days.
2. Public Disclosure of Scores: Non-recommended candidates can opt for the public disclosure of their scores by accessing the relevant section on the UPSC website while downloading their marks.
