NHA Extends Digital Health Incentives Scheme

  • The National Health Authority (NHA) Has Announced an Extension Of Its Digital Health Incentives Scheme (DHIS) Under The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Till The 31st of December 2023.
  • The Scheme Offers Incentives Of Up To Four Crore Rupees Based On The Number Of Digital Health Records Created And Linked To Ayushman Bharat Health Account Numbers Of The Patients.
  • Under The Scheme, Incentives Are Provided To Hospitals And Diagnostic Labs And To The Providers Of Digital Health Solutions. The DHIS Was Launched In January This Year.
  • The Scheme Proved To Be A Significant Catalyst In Promoting The Adoption Of Digital Health Technologies And Practices In Healthcare Delivery Across The Country. As Of Date, 1,205 Health Facilities Have Registered Under This Scheme With 567 Public And 638 Private Hospitals.

  • The Main Objectives Of the Computerization Of The Central Registrar’s Office Are Completely Paperless Application, Automatic Compliance To the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act (MSCS Act) And Rules, Ease Of Doing Business, Digital Communication And Transparent Processing.
  • The Portal Will Have Facilities Of Processing Of Applications And Service Requests In A Time Bound Manner Through Electronic Workflow.
  • It Will Also Have Provisions For OTP Based User Registration, Validation Checks For Compliance With The MSCS Act And Rules, Hearing Through Video Conference, Issue Of Registration Certificates And Electronic Communication.

Centre Allocates Funds For Bharat Net Extention

  • The Government Has Allocated 1,39,579 Crore Rupees To Extend Bharat Net In 6,40,000 Villages Across The Country. The Communications Ministry Said That The Extension Project Of The Bharat Net Will Be Achieved In Nearly Two Years.
  • The Ministry Said That The Extension Project Has Been Decided After The Success Of A Pilot Project In 60,000 Gram Panchayat Villages Across The Country In 8 Months.
  • The Ministry Highlighted That The Bharat Net Has Reached 1.94 Lakh Villages During The Pilot Project And 5,67,000 Households Have Active Bharat Net Connections So Far.
  • The Extension Program Will Also Provide Nearly 2,50,000 Jobs. Built Under The Make In India Initiative, Bharat Net Is One Of The World’s Largest Rural Broadband Connectivity Programmes, Being Implemented By Central PSUs Including BSNL.
