• The 27th Edition Of The Multilateral Naval Exercise Malabar 2023 Concluded In Sydney, Australia . The Exercise Saw The Participation Of Ships, Submarines, And Aircraft From The Indian Navy, Royal Australian Navy, Japan Maritime Self-defence Force, And The US Navy.

• The USA Food And Drug Administration Has Approved The First Respiratory Syncytial Virus Vaccine For Use In Women During Pregnancy To Protect The Baby. Vaccine Developed By Pfizer And The Approval Allows The Vaccine To Be Given To Women 32 To 36 Weeks Into Pregnancy.

TRAI Issues Recommendations On DTH Services

• TRAI Has Recommended To Do Away With The License Fee For DTH Operators After The End Of Financial Year 2026-27. The Move Is Aimed At Ensuring Sustainability For The Sector. Ministry Should Develop A Robust Mechanism For The Deduction Of Verification Process Through A Single Window Portal.
• DTH License Should Pay An Annual License Fee Equivalent To 3 Percent Of Adjusted Gross Revenue. Licensee Should Submit An Initial Bank Guarantee From Any Scheduled Bank To The Ministry For An Amount Of Five Crore Rupees For The First Two Quarters.
