In his addresses to the officers, General Chauhan emphasized a strategic shift from traditional domain-centric warfare to Multi-Domain Operations (MDO). He elaborated on the necessity of integrating various domains, including land, air, maritime, cyber, space, and cognitive operations. This integrated approach aims to enhance the military’s overall effectiveness in diverse operational environments.
Additionally, the CDS stressed the urgency for accelerated joint training tailored for futuristic warfare, advocating for the harmonization of doctrines across various military services. He highlighted the importance of developing interoperable command and control systems, which are essential for synergizing efforts during joint operations.
In outlining a roadmap for future challenges, General Chauhan called for substantial advancements in technological adaptation and innovation. He underscored the importance of building cognitive resilience among personnel and fostering collective preparedness to address a complex security landscape.
Beyond military engagements, the CDS also interacted with civil administration and key stakeholders in Baramulla. This engagement was aimed at reviewing ongoing efforts toward nation-building and ensuring stability in the region, reinforcing the idea that security is a collaborative endeavor that involves both military and civilian sectors.
In closing, General Chauhan urged all ranks to uphold operational excellence and integrate jointness as a fundamental aspect of military culture. This approach, he asserted, is essential for maintaining readiness to address the full spectrum of future conflicts within an ever-evolving security environment.
